Reachable is different than most of the other exercise programs out there. We specialize in moderate-intensity but “gentle” exercise. The goal is to help you feel great and more energized, so that you can live your best life now.
Hi! I’m Michelle Rogers, founder of Reachable Fitness and Wellness, and a proud grandmother. I created and personally instruct all of the classes in our program.
I am a Certified Personal Trainer (National Council for Certified Personal Trainers), Certified Health Coach (American Council on Exercise) and Certified Group Fitness Instructor (American Council on Exercise). I’m also credentialed as a Senior Fitness Specialist (National Academy of Sports Medicine) and Menopause Health and Fitness Specialist (MedFit). I have years of experience teaching senior fitness classes locally and working with personal training clients.
It wasn’t always like that. Up until my early 40s, I struggled with my weight and my health. I had weight fluctuations of almost 100 pounds. But then I took control and started exercising and eating better, and went on to lose all the extra weight. Exercise and healthy eating made such a profound difference in every area of my life, that I was inspired to then become a fitness professional. My transformation not only changed me physically, it gave me a new purpose in life: To help others.
With my real-life experience and my professional health and fitness education, I’ve learned so much on this journey. Now it’s my life’s mission to help others succeed.
Instead of feeling tired and achy most of the time like I used to, today I enjoy an active, healthy lifestyle. I can be there for my family, friends and community when they need me. I can fully participate in life. It’s awesome…more than words can say. I want that for you, too.
I used to think that the most important thing was what the scale said, or what my dress size was. But now that I achieved those goals, I can tell you that the even better part of it is how wonderful you FEEL when you’re healthy and fit. When you feel great, when you have your health, you really can do anything!
And that’s why I do the work I do. That’s life-changing stuff. I want to pass it on.
When I have a client or class participant tell me, with excitement, things like:
“Thank you!! I can do things now I couldn’t do before!”
“I’m sleeping better now, and wake up with less pain!”
“I’m seeing a difference! Look how loose my pants are…these used to be tight! I need to go shopping!”
“I haven’t weighed this less in 25 years!”
“My cholesterol has dropped 30 points since my last exam!”
“Wow, I feel so much better now than when I started!”
…it melts my heart. I love helping them. I want to help YOU. It’s what drives me. It’s what gets me out of bed every morning.
I’m proof positive that even if you’ve always struggled, it’s not too late to turn over a new leaf. You’re never too old to become your best you, and live your best life now.

Why I created Reachable Fitness and Wellness
For many people, joining a gym and going to classes is a barrier due to the investment in time, money and travel that is required. This can especially affect older adults, caregivers or those with a disability. Quite honestly, it would break my heart when someone wanted to come to my in-person classes and clearly could benefit from it, but they couldn’t because of family obligations, transportation or other reasons beyond their control.
The lingering pandemic resulted in additional barriers for midlife and older adults who don’t want to risk catching the virus by being in large indoor gatherings.
As a grandmother myself, I understand!
I got into this line of work to help people. I don’t ever again want someone turned away who could benefit. The healing power of fitness and a healthy lifestyle are fundamental, and I want it to be accessible to anyone who needs it.
There has to be a better way, I thought. And now, finally, there is!
That’s why I started Reachable Fitness and Wellness. To be able to help anyone, anywhere, get moving, get healthier and feel better. To make fitness and better health reachable — for all.
By using this wonderful online technology, distance, transportation, time and money are no longer obstacles for those who would like to take my gentle fitness classes. It’s affordable, convenient, and accessible anytime and anywhere.
